UNTUANBLUR is an independent black-and-white photography practice based in Bangkok.

I photograph the way memory actually works: not sharp, not whole, but felt. My pictures are made in enclosed spaces—rooms, corners, the narrow distance between one body and the wall behind it—where light arrives late and leaves early. What remains is a trace: a gesture half-finished, a figure dissolving into the dark, a room that still holds the shape of someone who has already left.

Blur, grain and shadow are not flaws I tolerate. They are the material. A sharp image claims to know; a blurred one admits that nothing stays still long enough to be known. I work in black and white because colour describes, and I am not describing—I am trying to make you feel the temperature of a room and the weight of a silence.

The photographs are staged, but the staging is a kind of ritual: a repeated, deliberate act performed to hold something that cannot be held. Underneath the stillness there is always pressure—something about to break the surface. I leave that tension unresolved on purpose.

The four series are one practice seen from different distances. Body & Light: skin, shadow, the edge where a person ends. Ritual: the private repetitions we perform to keep ourselves together. Field Notes: what I found rather than made. Afterimage: what is left when everything else has gone.

I am not interested in explaining. I am interested in the moment just before understanding—when an image is still tender, slightly unsettling, and belongs to whoever is looking.
